Ms. Renee was awarded on April 16 the 2008 "You Make A Difference" Award for her years volunteering teaching special needs kids dancing. The award was given by the Mt. Diablo Unified School District Community Advisory Committee (CAC) for Special Education. This award is awarded to those who have given outstanding contributions to the lives of special education students in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.

A Certificate of Sincere Thank You on behalf of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors was given to Ms. Renee  in recognition of her dedicated time and outstanding efforts devoted to Contra Costa Youth Day on April 26th, 2008 from Supervisor Federal Glover.
