EAST COUNTY KIDS N MOTION ORGANIZATION
MISSION STATEMENT
“To promote community unity, through regular involvement of activities that instill morals, values, self-esteem, discipline, adolescent health, and cultural diversity within our youth, through freedom of artistic dance and parental guidance.”

East County Kids-N-Motion located in Bay Point, California, is a non-profit organization, proven to be the premier provider of cultural dance experiences for children and adults throughout the local areas served. The program provides excellent training for young dancers and artistic development in the areas of Hip-Hop, African, Ballet, Salsa, Modern Jazz, Krumping, Praise and Drill Team instruction. The organization’s leader is dedicated to enriching children’s lives from all backgrounds, in a positive, healthy and gratifying way.
With the business being in the cultural/modern dance field, it primarily focuses on our youth's social and physical well being. It also offers a rigorus, comprehensive dance training schedule for young dancers age three to seventeen. East County Kids-N-Motion stresses personal responsibility and assists young participants in the development of this skill. The organization participates in numerous local community performances that includes: Pittsburg Seafood Festival; Concord's Kids Fest; Contra Costa County's Arts & Cultural Society; Antioch County Fair; Black Families Assoc. Of The East Bay; NAACP, Martin L. King Celebration; St. Francis Hotel Benefit, S.F; Annual Pittsburg Christmas Day Parade; etc. just to name a few.
Over the years, East County Kids-N-Motion has also provided Black History performances for the Mt. Diablo Unified School District. We are available for community performances. Above all, the organization believes its members should feel free to express themselves as they develop the discipline, self-confidence, and creativity every individual needs to succeed in any career.
Congratulations to Ms. Renee for being awarded the "You Make A Difference" Award from the Mt. Diablo Unified School District Community Advisory Council (CAC) for Special Education on April 16, 2008. This award is given to those who have given outstanding contributions to the lives of special education students in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District.
A Certificate of Sincere Thank You on behalf of the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors was given to Ms. Renee in recognition of her dedicated time and outstanding efforts devoted to Contra Costa Youth Day on April 26th, 2008 from Supervisor Federal Glover.
Congratulations to Grandpa Jim Valko, our East County Kids N Motion board member, for being awarded the Community Leadership Award for the Month of April 2008 presented by the Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) of Bay Point on April 1, 2008.
On December 1, 2006, East County Kids N Motion received Recognition for Hard Work and Outstanding Participation in the 2006 East County HIV/AIDS Health Fair from Supervisor Federal D. Glover on behalf of the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County.
On August 12th, 2006, East County Kids N Motion received a Certificate of Recognition of Outstanding Dedication and Thrilling Performances from Senator Tom Torlakson of the California State Senate.
